Enjoy a morning of birding with a walk along the lake. This walk will pass through several shrubby and forested habitats before reaching the tip of Long point with its panoramic views of Lake Champlain. Expect to see a variety of songbirds, waterbirds and possibly more. The trail is approximately 2 miles round trip with gently-sloping grassy, rocky or dirt paths. Trail may be muddy in places depending on the weather.

Point Au Roche State Park | Meeting Location: Deep Bay Parking Lot. From the Point Au Roche entrance sign, continue on Point Au Roche road another half mile east to the intersection with Camp Red

Cloud Road ( across from Point Au Roche Lodge). Note the sign for Point Au Roche Interpretive Center (87 Camp Red Cloud Road). Turn right onto Camp Red Cloud Road and follow to the end. The road becomes unpaved halfway in.

Bring: Binoculars, water, camera, snacks, insect (tick) repellent, and dress for the weather.
