About NNYA

Northern New York Audubon (NNYA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to conserving and restoring natural ecosystems in the Adirondacks, focusing on habitats of particular importance to birds, other wildlife, humanity and the Earth’s biological diversity as a whole. NNYA is proud to represent the Adirondack and North Country region of New York State and be a part of the National Audubon and Audubon NY network.

Our Mission

To promote the protection and proper management of birds, wildlife, and the fragile ecosystems throughout Northern New York

Comprised of a full volunteer board, NNYA has over 800 members at large. NNYA members contribute to the fulfillment of the NNYA mission through payment of a small annual membership fee and participation in our annual membership outing each summer. All members receive our quarterly newsletter.

NNYA current and historical priorities include the annual NNYA Cullman Grant, an annual grant distributed by NNYA for Adirondack and regional conservation work, support of local teachers to Audubon Hog Island camp opportunities, and an excellent quarterly newsletter. NNYA also offers an annual membership gathering each summer. This is an opportunity for board members, current members, and prospective members to bird together, network, and discuss our upcoming year’s priorities.
