Goose Migration Watch
Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 1:00 PM
Location: Malone Recreation Park, Malone, NY
Join members of Northern New York Audubon to witness thousands of geese gathering on the water at Malone Recreation Park. It’s an impressive fall migration spectacle and a great opportunity to see both familiar species and some less common visitors.
In addition to large numbers of Snow Geese and Canada Geese, we’ll be watching for rarities that may appear among the flocks. Cackling Geese, Ross’s Geese, and Greater White-fronted Geese are all possible visitors during migration.
Several NNYA members will be on hand to help spot and identify birds, so birders of all experience levels are welcome.
This event is free and open to the public.
Meeting Location: Duane Street entrance. We’ll meet at 1:00 PM, but participants are welcome to stop by anytime during the afternoon.
What to Bring: Bring binoculars and/or a spotting scope if you have them, and please dress appropriately for the weather.
